Management where the machine is checked before the strategy
Plenty of agencies will discuss your funnel at length while your conversion tag lies dead in a ditch. Managed PPC here means the radar runs first, always, and the human hours go where machines are useless: reading search terms with judgment, setting tests, and writing you reports with timestamps in them.
What do you get, concretely?
- The full monitoring layer: five checks every 30 minutes, alerts to you and to us
- A weekly human review: search terms, pacing, verdicts on running tests, one shipped improvement with its reason logged
- Google Ads core, Microsoft Advertising where the audience profile earns it
- Incident handling: on managed accounts we act first and report after, with detection and resolution timestamps
- A monthly note in human language and a quarterly incident log, the two documents clients actually read
How do we handle the platform's moving parts?
Deliberately and on the record. Performance Max runs only with brand exclusions and gets its channel report read monthly, a discipline Google made possible when channel-level reporting reached all accounts in November 2025. AI Max gets capped tests judged on your cost per acquisition, not on Google's aggregate claim of roughly 7% more conversions. And with Google set to fold legacy DSA campaigns into AI Max automatically from September 2026, our accounts migrate deliberately this quarter rather than absorbing the upgrade on default settings.
What does the first quarter look like?
Week one puts the radar up and starts the baseline read: your numbers against the 2026 field medians ($5.42 CPC, $66.69 cost per lead across industries), your waste findable in the search terms, your measurement state including Consent Mode v2, which EEA accounts have needed since March 2024. Weeks two to six ship fixes in priority order, measurement first. From week four the incident log begins accruing, and by the quarter's end you have the document most accounts never had: a record of what almost went wrong, when we knew, and what it cost instead of what it could have.
What results are fair to expect?
Two kinds, honestly separated. Incident value arrives fast and keeps arriving: across the roster we intercepted €212k of runaway spend in the last 12 months, and each account averages 3.1 caught incidents a quarter. Performance value compounds slower: the kitchen retailer reached its first profitable paid-search month in six weeks, and the cleaning franchise nearly halved its lead cost in five. Both outcomes lean on the same boring engine: nothing stayed broken for longer than an alert cycle.
Asked before signing, usually
From €990 a month or 13% of ad spend, whichever comes out higher, monitoring included. Market context: agency fees generally run 10 to 20% of spend across the industry. We sit mid-band and spend the margin on the radar and the incident log instead of account managers who forward emails.
Google Ads as the core and Microsoft Advertising where the account profile earns it, typically for desktop and B2B-leaning audiences, given Microsoft's average search CPC of $1.54 against Google's $2.69. Both run under the same radar and appear in the same incident log and monthly review.
The order of priorities. Most agencies sell strategy and treat operations as an afterthought; we sell operations certainty first, because that is where we watched budgets actually die. Strategy still happens, in the weekly review and the quarterly plan, but it happens on an account whose vitals are known.
Search terms read with judgment, budget pacing against plan, test verdicts, and one improvement shipped per week with its reason logged. The radar frees the human hour from checking whether things run, so it gets spent on whether things are aimed well. That division of labor is the entire operating model.
Two months to begin, month-to-month after that, and 30 days of notice ends it. Accounts, conversion history, and the full change and incident logs live in your own logins from day one. Clients who leave keep everything including the alert configurations, which we will happily hand to the next agency.
